Although it is unknown what the production span of this "station" was exactly, these were made before 1964 as they are marked "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany".
Most probably made between 1954 and 1964.
These plastic stations with moveable "STOP" sign were used to launch cars onto a Varianto track (similar to the drawing below, taken from a vintage Varianto catalog).
The station is in near mint condition (some minor scratches on the bottom).
A great addition to any Schuco Varianto collection!
