Marked as "Made in U.S. Zone Germany", it can be easily dated as manufactured between 1952, the beginning of the production, and 1964 although production continued until 1966.

Fully functional and complete, it is not mint as it is let down a little by the quality of the paint but it has too much character this way to justify a repaint.

When you wind this model, it will drive off while the mouse waves its arms up and down. A true joy to watch!

It uses the same basic body shape as the Examico 4001 and Akustico 2002 but because of the Mouse, Schuco left the windscreen off.

The mechanism is in more than excellent shape and fully functional.

The bad paint does not seem to have been caused by play-wear but more by not so careful storage as the bottom plate is in excellent condition.

It comes with the correct # 2 wind-up key.
