These models, issued by the over 50 years old Herpa Company of Bavaria, Germany are largely assembled by hand out of a great number of parts. This filigrane and costly production method is exactly what makes the models so strikingly similar to its original, even in the smallest detail. The industry has also recognized the quality of Herpa and in many cases Herpa introduces its models at the same time as the automotive industry presents the corresponding original.
